After beating Bangladesh by 3-0 in the T20 series, Afghanistan would love upset India as well on their test debut.
1. Dinesh Karthik 2.0
After a long wait of 8 years, finally Dinesh Karthik returns in the test squad. He has to prove himself & make the most of the opportunity. It’ll be interesting to see how he will cope-up with his ex-wife’s present husband Murali Vijay. Hope this rivalry won’t hurt other player’s performance. Fingers crossed!
2. Shardul Thakur- The Debutant
Hailing from the small town of Palgarh, Maharashtra,Thakur use to travel nearly a hundred kilometers to Mumbai to pursue his cricketing dreams. Thakur’s journey has been one of perseverance and hard work. Hence, he has all the right be nervous but excited at the same time.
3. Rashid Khan- One Man Army
Rashid Khan perhaps has claims to the best cricketing teenager of his times. At eighteen, he not only is an indispensable ration for the Afghanistan cricket team but also a star in Indian Premier League, a market where money matters the most.
4. Karun Nair- Accidental Star
Nair is the 2nd Indian cricketer to score a triple hundred but somehow he lost his charm & have been struggling to score run at International level. Even in the IPL where he had moved to Delhi Daredevils and even become captain at one point, Karun couldn’t bounce back completely. He will be one of the guy keep an eye on.
5. Ajinkya Rahane- The lost talent
He has an impressive test record playing outside India but somehow he managed to drag himself down in home conditions. Though, he will be captaining the young India team against Afghanistan but he may miss the run machine “Virat Kohli” & swing sensation “Bhuvneswar Kumar.”
After the win over Bangladesh, Afghanistan’s morale will be on the top floor but on the other side; we have India who would love to make them taste the real test experience. #IndiavsAfghanistan
