NASA is ready to launch the Artemis I moon rocket

The First step in a complex series of missions aimed at enabling further human exploration of the moon and eventually, Mars.

Artemis I's main priorityis to testing Orion's new heat shield as it  reenters Earth's atmosphere at 25,000 mph.

Artemis II's mission will do roughly the same, but with astronauts

Artemis III aims to put two astronauts on the lunar surface sometime after 2025

The giant SLS rocket is years behind schedule and billions of dollars over budget.

As per NASA's internal watchdog, the Office of Inspector General it cost around $4.1 billion for every time it lauches

It will take 2 hours to launch when weather look favorable

But NASA will make two attempts to launch Artemis
